We are a very small company that is owned by myself and spouse. Recently, we had a falling out with our group of supporters of the business, including the person that owns the property where the business was located, and now believe the group will attempt to claim the business name, identity, and customers. We are filed as a general partnership in our state as well as with the secretary of state. What needs to be done to show, legally, that we own the business free and clear. Should we trademark the name and logo?

And do see an attorney asap. If yours is a local business, you will need to pull on local law to protect yourself and an attorney will know what you can and cannot do.
