I ran through the Forum and did not see any of these questions so I was hoping to get a little help. First though, we are located in Las Vegas, Nevada and I have searched the list of certified HUBZONE General Contractors and there are very few here in town. I have however heard that a couple of non-certified HUBZONE General Contractors have teamed up with HUBZONE certified General Contractors and have been awarded Projects. From my understanding this is not possible because both of the GC's would have to be HUBZONE certified is this correct?Also, I am thinking of starting a new company and am wondering how long you need to be in buisness before you can apply for the HUBZONE certification? Also, has anyone on here recently went through the certification process and if so how long did it take?Thanks for you help!

You'll find certification information and news within the HUBZone section of our site.
Additionally, SBA has resource partners like SCORE and Small Business Development Centers located across the country that provide free business counseling and may be able to offer some guidance. Visit SBA Direct to find your local SBA resource partners by entering your zip code.
