Our team just finished a website software solution dedicated to a very niche
community that we believe will benefit greatly when they begin using it. We
are targeting front-end web developers that need a streamlined solution for
data management for data visualization projects.
We have tried using social media with gradual success, we target forums to
find our niche market with gradual success and we are optimizing our site
organically for future success (we know it takes time to do this naturally).
Where are we missing a possible opportunity? Keep in mind that we have a very
limited budget.
You can preview our site for further insight to help answer this question at
www.JSONData.com. Please keep in mind that this site is in beta.
Thanks,
D

to your niche. Add more reviews from it also doing professional blog site
would help in building your brand awareness. Keep what you are doing,
naturally building links :)

search for a list of niche directories on google using your 'niche'+
directory. For example, I'm in the online testing software business so I'll
search on the term 'software directories'

Thank you for your thoughts and confirmation. We believe that we are spending
our time wisely with organic search and in the forums. We will keep heading
in this direction. Thanks again.

the more popular forums. The most effective marketing method that I have
found is to get your product on Google so that if someone searches for it, or
anything related to it, it comes up immediately.
To this end, you could try setting up blogs or some other website that gets
listed on google to answer potential questions that your niche market might
be asking and to solve their problems.
The reasoning behind this is that whenever people encounter a problem, they
usually search on google. If your product is the first one that comes up, and
is recommended on forums and blogs, then it will be more likely to be used.

only market your product to the proper demographic, it would increase your
google rankings. Win - Win
Best of Luck!
