I made a website called which sells books, DVDs, and Video Games. I don't have much start-up money so I need a cheap way to promote my business. I tried posting on Facebook and putting up flyers but that didn't work. I recently tried direct mail and I'm waiting on the response. Does anyone have any suggestions for me? Unlike most sites, with this site when you choose to buy a book, dvd, or video game, you will be sent a random item in that category. Ordering from this site will open you up to new experiences and could even change your life!

fortune on ads out the gate; you can focus on building a reputation through
social media. Also, since your demographic and content involves films, books,
etc., you could start a blog which provides reviews and ratings. This tiggers
traffic and then you can advertise and offer for sale the content your
reviewing on your site. If your content is good, over time people will learn
to rely on your site, book mark it for information, and then your good will
starts to build. If you focus on quality in the beginning and take small
steps you can make a difference in this market. Think outside the box and
good luck!

I would add that creating a blog and posting related content would also
benefit you as google and other search engines will index these pages for
keywords you might not have thought of. Then, you could use SEO based on
those specific keywords.
Also, as you will learn in your research of SEO, make sure your website is
optimized for the specific keywords you'd like prospective buyers to find you
for. This will increase your website's visibility to search engines.
Hope this helps!

places have the best results. Twitter especially they have a promoted program
for businesses, and you only pay when someone follows you or clicks on your
link.

best way you can increase the visibility of your website or rather promote
your business. If you are not proficient enough then hire people who
specialize in it.
