Greetings traders, wholesalers and experts!
A Happy, prosperous and blessed new year to you all!
I am a total newbie to this and I apologize in advance for my stupidest
naivest questions.
I am trying to start importing herbal and homeopathic supplements and I need
to know some basic things before I can do that.
Do I need to have a company registered in the US for paperwork for customs?
What other paperwork do I need to have to get my supplements here in the US
smoothly.
Do I need to always go through Fedex? I estimate my packages to be around
20-80 lbs in the beginning. I don't think I need to go through sealiner
companies like Maersk and OOCL etc.
Does Fedex take care of customs? Can we use another shipping/clearance
agency?How do I find them?
Please help me ... all your suggestions and education is monumentally
appreciated
God bless.
Sincerely,
KK

products, you may want to check the FDA website. Many supplements and
supplement ingredients that are legal in other countries are banned in the
U.S. Be sure you can legally import your items before you go forward with the
business.
Assuming you live in the U.S., you may want to visit with a counselor at a
small business development center or a SCORE office in your area. They can
evaluate your business plan and recommend how best to proceed. You may also
want to check with your state department of commerce. They should have an
international business division that can assist with importing.
