I'm a relatively new small business and am looking to expand my inventory and product line. I have been considering some overseas manufacturers for a little while now but have no idea how to go about importing anything. What kinds of licensing do I need, what kinds of costs would I be looking at? Any help would be wonderful, even if it is just pointing me in the right direction to find this information for myself. I'm a Missouri based business and am looking at importing products from Pakistan. Thanks.
There are numerous requirements and restrictions on importing, depending on the type of products you plan to import. You might contact your state department of commerce. They should have an international trade division that can help you.
