Unfortunately establishing credit for your business isn't as easy as it is for your personal credit. You actually need to take some steps to get your business credit profile setup. It is easy to create a good business credit score, but it takes time. You don't need to pay anyone to do it for you. Basically, you need to pay your bills on time every month. If possible you should pay off the balance on the one credit card, then pay your credit card bills, utilities, and other expenses every month. Your score will be based on how you handle debt. If you keep it paid, your score will improve. If you want to take out a loan in the business name, the business cannot be a sole proprietorship. It needs to be registered as an LLC or a corporation. Sole proprietorships are not considered separate legal entities apart from the owner. Therefore, a loan to a sole proprietorship is actually a personal loan to the business owner.
