I am curious if someone can assist me with a quandary I have. We were awarded an indefinite quantity contract (IQC). The CLINS on the IQC show Firm Fixed Price (FFP) but no dollars associated with it. We then received a Task Order and the CLINs show LH (Labor Hours) and have dollars associated with each CLIN. So, when we invoice, do we invoice via the FFP as per the Contract Award document or LH as per the TO? If you can also reference the FAR clause supporting your direction that would be very helpful.

I don't have the FAR in front of me so I can't give FAR references at this time. Indefinate Quantity Indefinate Delivery (IDIQ) is a contract vehicle which allows the government to award any number of task orders until they reach the cost ceiling of the IDIQ contract. The contract requirements generally will take precedence over the task order requirements, but not always. I really can't give a good answer to your question without having a copy of the contract and the task order to review. The best advice I could give would be to contact your contracting officer and ask for quidance. The contracting officer has the final say in matter like this.
