When starting a new business, many people opt for the business name as their
Domain name. However, all businesses have a market they want to rank for
around industry keywords and I have found that instead of having my domain
name be my business name, by having keyword (keyword being what I want to
rank high for on the Internet search engines) as my domain domain sites tend
to rank higher. Ranking higher obviously means more traffic and potential
customers.

on the search engines. I was also thinking of my business as it being my
domain name but I found that if the domain name is not catchy and memorable
people then to just forget what they have seen or read. So I desided that I
would have a different business name and use my domains as sub-divisions for
the business as well as any and all of my profiles, blogs, and social
networks. Like this I brand my self and my businss efforts. I have not
registered a business name yet so that is still in a touse up for me but yes
I think you are correct on the issue of the domain being the first impression
as a business name for individuals.
