I will be leavening the military in FEB 13 (20 years). I have done a lot of end of year purchasing for the military. I was surprised by the poor customer service and response to my requests over the years. We purchase a lot of items that the vendor do not understand why we purchase them, but I do. I would like to start a company that focuses on purchasing on Readiness Inespection items. There are enough inspections over 4 years to be profitable. I have a lot of expiernce on the operational side, that will be in sales.
I have done my research with GSA, but do
not have suppliers.
I am not very clear on what "Readiness Inspection Items" are but, if you are looking for suppliers your best bet would be to network. GSA is a great place to start by viewing GSA Advantage and contacting the vendors within your commodity of interest, also SBA has a great subcontractor website where you can partner with other vendors who are looking for your services some of the vendors has government contracts and some do not.
