In addition to a basic business plan and financing issues, the location will
be critical. Don't rely just on statistics about a certain area or what other
people say about an area. Go to a prospective location yourself. Take a close
look at the area of any prospective site for the business. Look at the
vehicle traffic, the foot traffic. Would parking be easy? Is there a lot of
parking? Spend some hours sitting in a nearby business if possible and
looking at that real time foot traffic and vehicle traffic of that a desired
location.
