Hey there,

I desire to open my own IT business. I want to have it be a organization where I go for the customers houses and fix PC's  them there as properly as take them to numerous locations. I don't wish to operate for just about any particular client. I want to know what permits and what not I need to begin this business but I do not know where to commence. My IT business will be located in Broward County, Florida. I need to contact some good IT equipment suppliers, I do not know in which to start. Any People can suggest anything?

You should do some search about your competitors. I am sure there are many competitors and some big fishes too already catering to the same audience. But don't be dishartned looking at them just try to figure out weaknesses of each one and deliver your efficiency at that to your customers.

Get a business license and a Tax ID number and you are good to go, however since you plan to go to customer's homes you probably would want to have some kind of insurance too.

While I'm not sure about the specific permits that are required in FL, I want to remind you that since you will be visiting customers' locations it will be crucial to look into liability insurance... in case you break something or a customer accuses you of damaging their property, etc.   It will be crucial for your type of business   Good luck!

seanr76, Congratulations on starting a business. Take a look at 10 Steps to Starting a Business in Florida. This will give you an overview of what steps are needed in regards to getting registered with the state and getting your tax ids. Another good idea if you need help getting started would be to get in contact with SCORE office in the Broward area. Broward County also has workshops for small business owners. Permits and Licenses will also be done on a local level, so you can check with your county officials. We have a couple discussions on computer repair businesses.
