Social media is becoming a popular and indispensible tool for today’s small businesses. Through websites like Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn, business owners can promote products, communicate new information, and engage customers in a new, easily accessible way. However, using social media effectively to grow your business can be tricky, requiring strategy, research and planning.
Tell us:
- Which social media websites have you had the most success with?
- How do you use social media to engage and communicate with your customers?

customers that you exist. It keeps you connected. I use Twitter and Facebook.
I do have a Google plus page but I don't focus as much as I should on it. I
have gotten clients (2 from Twitter, 5 from Facebook) from social media. It
does help. I think LinkedIn should be included too.

start use of Google Plus..one secret behind using Google plus for social
media promotion is that one can achieve higher ranking in Google SERP by
sharing links on Google plus.

to create a method to get more customers. If you aren't able to get too many
followers, Google will still help you get a higher rating since they focus on
social media- The reason for this is that their algorithm only focuses on
links, but since real people rate sites they put more weight on it. Just make
sure that your site is fully optimized before focusing too much on social
networking. You want to ensure that you have a meta title and meta
description that are both informative and make an offer- the information
that's in the meta should also be reflected on the page you are adding the
meta. Good luck and hopefully this is somewhat beneficial.
