I often get asked from business owners if I could recommend a recruitment firm or headhunter for key positions in their companies. When it comes to hiring key positions I prefer to look at developing talent within my company instead of hiring new but experienced. Employees that are trainable for a management position possess three main qualities: 1. Intelligence, I consider ability to learn and adapt separate from experience. It is important to be able to take in a ton of information and make a decision that will not damage the company. 2. Work ethic, they have proven the willingness to invest time to learn whatever it is your company wants to pursue. 3. Culture, you do not want to poison your company with an outside manager you nothing about. If you have any questions let me know.
