Part of being a business owner is building a good team. When I research firms that are dependent on labor, such as retail sales or IT development. The first area I examine is HR procedures. I found the most successful firms not only do background checks but they also have an assessment system in place that helps evaluate candidates by measuring their potential for success. You can find low cost assessment programs online and same for background checks. You should be able to accomplish your needs for less than $75 per new hire. This is a small cost considering a bad employee could cost you in the long run.
