I think that the most important thing today is content. Create original high quality content to really interest visitors and you will start to receive traffic from search engines (especially Google). I don't know if you heard but the latest algorithm from Google (called Panda) was launched to identify content....

Making money with adsense is one kind of online jobs without investment. It's great you choose blog as it doesn't require any kind of website desining effort. So first of all start gathering followers and start adding unique content. Google as well as people love unique content.

To make money online, the key is to drive traffic... Provide content for which the user coems back to your blog, once that happens ads will flow in.......
