Surveys are definitely a scam. I own a business and the thought of paying random people online for their opinion is laughable. If I am going to pay anyone as part of a survey, it'll be my current customers. That being said, I'm much more likely to use a free survey on my Facebook page. My suggestion would be to start a website and focus on a group of products that you either have some experience with, or enjoy. You can sell products from Amazon directly on the site, or find other companies that pay commissions for sales (affiliate fees).

You can earn online from your home very easily but for that you have to be very smart like-suppose you have created online shop then whatever product you want to sell you should have thorough knowledge of that products, you should know its benefits and how it is useful to your competitors, you have to analysis the price of your competitors, you have to create brand name for your shop. If everthing is perfect as per above points then it is easy for anyone to earn good amount of money throught online.

I think there are many ways to make a living through either an online or home based business, it really depends on where your passion is, and if you are knowledgeable about your product/service.   Many people write off affiliate marketing as a scam, or waste of time, but it has been a very god source of income for me for many years. Same thing with online advertising revenue, it 'can be' an excellent source of income. I also know people who have sold Herbal Life and made a mint. This of course is not something I would recommend, or do myself, but it should be noted that for some people in the right situation, this is an option.    I would suggest looking at areas that you have an interest, as the up's and downs of being a home based entrepreneur can be very trying. It becomes difficult to stay focused if you do not enjoy what it is you are doing.    Focus on a niche, and in many cases, look into geo-targeting, this can help you get the ball rolling. Oh, and most importantly, make sure there is a market for your product or service. You may enjoy making and selling 'Hats for Cats', but I doubt you are going to make a living off of it.

@Jamie He had tried online paid surveys and polls to earn some cash and Now he is asking for more different ways. Smith first of all, many of these paid surveys sites are scam. They just provide crap surveys. Earning money is not an easy task. But now there are many ways to earn money online. As you said you have created online shop and it is working great. Seller earn commission to sell these products directly from the company.

Many home based businesses are more trouble then they are worth, if you are buying into an existing idea. The Trick is, to aim your online business at your local market, what is lacking, and fill the void. Take Grocery orders online, make a deal with a local driver on craigslist, then bring flyers and info to seniors centers, old folks homes, and stuff like that, boom instant market.
