I'm one of the partners in a new site. We are basically a travel blog and picture site, although we also have a facility for discussion forums. We're organized as a Florida LLC. We have looked around for general liability insurance, although we believe we're a very low-risk business (we have no products, we sell no service, we require that anyone joining the site--can't post or participate without joining--sign our TOS that includes disclaimer of responsibility to the nth, and we post other disclaimers to be seen by non-joining readers. We have no employees, no separate business premises, no equipment other than our own computers. The site is hosted through a commercial platform; we pay for use of it. Every time I've spoken with an insurance agent, they've either told me that it's not a kind of business they know or can quote on, or they request a quote and then get back to me to tell me that none of their companies writes for this kind of business. It's the reaction I'd expect if I were looking for insurance for a parachute-testing company...but it seems that no one understands our type of business well enough to know what to write or what the risk is. SO...does anyone know of a company that deals in this type of business, or have any suggestions at all of where we can find coverage? Thanks!
