does anyone know anything about LLC? Can I file for it myself without an attorney and where do I go to get the information. Any help or information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Guys

You can file an LLC yourself, but you will need an attorney to draw up a legal operating agreement for the business even if you are a one-person LLC. My attorney charged only $65 to do it because the agreement is standard in most states. Therefore, he had to make only minor changes to the standard agreement.

i agree, you will need to have a lawyer review your documents and help you maintain your records also you need to keep your personal finances seperate. Yes you can file yourself. Not sure what state you are in - but in my state (Texas) - you would just go the Secretary of State's website - download the forms and submit them with the necessary fees. Your state should have the same procedures - but might not be a t the secretary of state's office. A quick call to your chamber of commerce should lead you in the right direction. There are also books that can help you do it yourself. I know of NOLO - not only do they provide books with information on how this works in your state but they provide the forms as well.
