First thanks in advance for any insight on this issue. I really do apreciate your time.
When I was younger and lost my job I started my own LLC doing IT consulting. I thought starting an LLC is what I had to do at the time instead of just being a sole proprietor. I worked for myself for a while and then hard times hit and I had to get a job working for a company again. Being young and ignorant about things I did not do anything with the LLC.
Now 10 years later and 10 years wiser I have a dilima. My LLC was admin dissolved. Now I DO have things to protect like cars, house, wife, and child etc. as far as liability exposure is concerned. Looking at the information for reinstatement I will have to pay $1750 in fees and annual reports to reinstate and rename my LLC. So here is my question:
Can I simply register a new LLC ignoring the old one as if it never existed to me?
