Avoid these at all costs.  Once you are there - you will never come back and they will help you dig a deeper hole.  Payday loans are not your friend.  Your best bet is to tighten your belt and weather the storm.  When it is over, you will be in a much better position.

my honest advice would be to avoid a payday loan if at all possible.  most PDL companies business model is wrapped up the the idea that they will make you default at some point and once you do it becomes increasingly difficult to drag yourself back.   In many cases te interest rates are highly punitive and there are sometimes fees that are immediately added to the loan balance on late payment which escalates the principal, and therefore the ongoing interest.  like all high interest products PDL's do have a place but they often lead to a slippery slope debt-wise.

payday loans are best avoided if at all possible, as the interest rates can be pretty punitive. They often precipitate a debt spiral wherer as soon as you miss a payment you get stung with hefty fees which make it near impossible to clear the original loan - result = a debt that costs you a lot and never goes away. Even credit cards are a better toption than PD's in most cases.
