Lost business in 2007

Can I get a grant from a business loss in 2007? I invested 14,297.78 into the business and it went bad. I am now unemployed and am not able to keep up with my bills on what I have left in the bank. I am actively searching for work and a grant for my business loss would give me the opportunity to stay afloat for 6 months and by then, I have to had found a job. How do I go about and do this.

Do not think you can get such a grant - although it is a good thought. Have you tried unemployment insurance to hold you over while you look? or, take a job - any job - then continue to search for a better job - it is always easier to get a job if you already have one. Sorry about your busines loss - we need as many businesses as we can get. Can you tell us more about your business and why you had to close the doors?
