Have you ensured all your expenses are streamlined? Look to make sure you are getting the best deals from your suppliers, with the best payment terms, and make sure there isn't anyone who can supply you for cheaper!

 cjscoot,   It is my understanding that business loans are harder to find and qualify. I have not checked out the Loans and grants sections yet but that sounds like a good start.  Many business owners try options with residential lenders and take out loans on their residential real estate.  I am not sure if that is an option for you but may be worth a look.   Does anyone know of consultants for business loans? Maybe someone who goes out and finds the loan programs for their clients?

Low interest business loans and mortgages are a bit of a holy grail in general. They're out there, but finding them, qualifying for them and actually closing on them can be tough. Sadly this is for a good reason as if they were easy to come by no-one would use mainstream lending channels. That said, if sites like this can lend a helping hand to struggling businesses so much the better. One thing I'd be very curious about is the service level provided by low interest elnders - one would expect that with lower interest comes lower service?

Thanks Christine for the Loans and Grants Tool. Just bookmarked it. cjscott, one other thinng you can do is to talk to your current lender(s). It's not in their best interest for you to default on your payments or close down the business. Come up with a payment plan and present it to them. Talk to a person who can make such decisions, preferably someone you already have a relationship with. It cannot hurt to ask.

Depends on what you think is low interest? Some will think 12% is low while others may not. All depends on risk - if your risk in high - 12% interest may be low. Have you looked into the America Recovery Capital (ARC) program? This is part of the recovery act of 2009 and is designed to help businesses like you. Under this program, you could pay NO interest, delay principal payment and pay little or no fees. Hi cjscoot, First, you can use Business.gov's Loans and Grants Tool to see which loans you are eligible for. You can also take a look at SBA ARC loans that provides interest free loans of up to $35,000 to small businesses 'for the purpose of making principal and interest payments on existing, qualifying small business loans for up to six months.' Learn more about SBA loan availability, eligibility, and application process here. Does anyone else have any suggestions?
