The U.S. travel and tourism industry is expanding and changing.
In 2010, American and international travelers contributed $526 billion to the U.S. economy through business and leisure trips, according to the U.S. Travel Association. In fact, the same organization estimates that 1 out of every 9 U.S. jobs depends on travel – and that over 99% of travel and tourism businesses employ less than 500 workers.
