Multiple companies at one residential address

I already registered my S Corp at my parents address in CA. My sister is coming home now and wants to register her own company at the same address. Is this allowed. I remember seing some restrictions on the number of businesses that can be registered at one address but I cannot put my hands on it anymore. Please help!

My roommate and I both own e-businesses and we currently claim our businesses at the same residence. I would also be interested in additional information for multi-companies at one address.   thanks

Hi emmitska, We have some information about basic zoning laws for home based businesses that you can take a look into. Since many zoning regulations vary by state, I would advise you to contact California's Small Business Administration and also take a look into the registering process, and relevant permits and licenses.
