With sept 08 bankruptcy filing we have just finished reconciling our books with them 5-09-09 it was a mess. They owe 22k is it to late to file against them and how where.

Hmmm, this is a good question; I would believe you would need to file all claims as a creditor before the court passed their decision. I'd consult with an attorney who handles creditor issues for businesses against people\companies claiming bankruptcy and see if there is anything you can do.
