Same here. For me, I'll avoid it. You really have to thoroughly investigate the background of a company before becoming involved to them. It's easier to be on a safer side.

Hey I actually fell victim to this scam myself when i was younger but was able to stop everything before it went to far.  You know what they say, if its to good to be true it probably is.  There is a ton of work to do on the internet find your own work imo.

I would avoid this 'opportunity.' As mentioned by another poster, this is most likely a scam that can leave you holding the bag for thousands of dollars and possibly open you to a charge of money laundering, which is a federal offense.

Please, please, please, pay heed from someone who has 'done that job'. It is known as a Nigerian scam. As soon as you do anything with your bank account, or any new bank account, you can become a victim of fraud, either losing funds if you had any already in the account, or you can end up owing the bank! Once a woman even lost a lawsuit in which, from all I could tell, she was innocent (like you seem), taking the job as a serious offer while in college.   Do not be scammed! I received 2 western union checks, for 5k each but the senders were impossible to trace and I knew little about who to report them to in the USA when I did find out it was fake. I thought it was a genuine job offer just like you. Thankfully someone showed me what people have gone through before I was victimized but ppl have ended up owing thousands due to naively going along with the scheme. The idea is, you accept a high amount, deposit it into a bank, then withdraw 90% of the funds and pass it on. The thing that can get ppl into trouble is when they pass on the funds before the ACTUAL money goes through western union. It'd be like depositing a bounced/ worthless check, then owing the bank for loaning you the money. Get it?   Please, use your intelligence that allowed you to research the business aspects and do some different kind of research. The results will speak for themselves. Stay safe and instead,   try doing customer service/ inbound calls from your desk via the internet. It IS legit and if you have a semi-quiet area/ shift of at least 4 consecutive hrs, you'll be well-suited for it. I have kids, so sound-proofed or even semi-quiet office isn't available to me except at night when a ringing phone would not be acceptable, otherwise I'd be in that type of job myself. Best of luck!
