I don't think its ok that she started her own business for residential cleaning service and she doesn't deserve any grant or help. The economy is tough enough today, we don't need to make it any tougher on people that want to start a small business. I am not saying to give grants to everyone who ask for it, but at least consider it for some business owners who need it...

You are not likely to find a grant for your business - grants just do not work that way. Seems you have two needs - one for equipment and one for working/operating capital. I would suggest you separate these out. There are many equipment financing companies that can fund your van needs - many work with and have programs for start-up businesses. For working capital, you need to determine how much you need - what is the bare minimum - the amount that you can employ in your business to earn the greatest return - then find a lender who will provide that. There are many options but they depend on the amount you are seeking.

Hello Nadia,   As in Mr. Helpful's reply, self funding will be the route you will have to go. Here in Minnesota there are no business startup grants from the state government. Grants for the most part come from non-profit organizations who are trying to supply services not being offered.

Doesn't it depend on the state? I ran the tool and found some links for small business and for business owned primarily by women.

Hello Nadia, I'm affriad that grants for commercial enterprises such as yours are more or less non-existant. You may be able to apporach some sort of private or local small business assistance organisation if there is one in your area, but I don't think there's anything federal available to you. most lilely you'll need to look at funding your promotional activities yourself via a loan.
