Starting a restaurant can be tough, I have done it four times and there are a
lot things to consider before you do. The first of which is do you have
enough capital to get opened (add 10% at least to your figures) and enough
capital to run for 18-24 Months without a single dime coming in.
If yes, then you have the shell that could be a successful restaurant. You
can have the best idea ever and it will still take the better part of a year
to catch on. 86ThePrint by PromotIS is actually the original company I
started to promote restaurants. As we realized the power of the technology we
had, we expanded to serve all industries.
The best advice I can give to any new restaurant other than capital is,
capture your honeymoon clients. The honeymoon is the first 90 days or so you
are open. The place will fill up with curious neighbors and it will be a
hectic time, one that most people don't think will end. But, it does. Then
you will have a 9 month, or so, period where you get to learn if your
concept, food quality, prices and presentation is going to catch on. If you
can contact those who visited you in your opening and precision target the
small number of people who already know about you and max your marketing
spend utilizing their reviews and recommendations, it can make a real
difference. I used our system on my 4th and with a first year estimated loss
of $157,000 ended year one with a loss of less than $15,000. we are for
foodies, by foodies, visit us.
