We are an S Corporation in New Jersey and sell sheet metal. We hired a salesperson for Florida who lives in florida. There is no location or office we will be shipping by carrier sheet metal to customers. What are the necessary forms, licenses, taxes, etc. to do business in Florida.
Not sure if you actually need to register in Florida - not having an office there. This salesperson - is he/she an employee or an independent contractor? If the latter, you would not have to register in FL.
I suggest you call the Florida Secretary of State's office and ask about doing business in their state as a foreign entity: http://www.dos.state.fl.us/ or http://sunbiz.org/
