I just registered my DBA name and am ready to start making and selling my products at local fairs, trading posts, etc. Does anyone know of any regulations or licenses/permits I may need? I make all natural bath/spa products such as lotion, soaks and scrubs. Any info will help, thanks!!
If you are selling to end users - you will need to collect sales tax - if you are selling to other resellers - no sales tax required.
You can also go down and talk to other sellers at the flea market, etc and see what they are doing or have done.
Check both your secretary of state's website and your countly clerk. You will likely need a resale license and have to collect sales tax. You will probably need some sort of business license or permit. If you go to the websites I mentioned above they should have a business section that explains it. If you're still confused just call them.
I just moved a business to Florida from CA and called the business division for the state. Took me 5 minutes to get the answers to my questions.
