new ozone business in oklahoma

We are opening a new business in Ada, Ok dealing with ozone cleaning in homes, businesses, vehicles. I have never been involved with self-employment and don't even know where to start as far as paying taxes on income earned, how to figure what needs to be withheld from payroll on employees, licensing(if any), etc. Also, our only employee besides my husband and myself will be my 69 y/o father-in-law if that makes any difference. Help, needing some expert guidance, also my husband mentioned something about an LLC?

Training is a big part of the ozone services. In fact, there is more to the
business than you imagine. We encourage the training program of the Certified
Ozone Technician. If you consider working with NOAI.org, we will assign you a
mentor to coach you in the business.

Tcrew05- Congrats on starting your new business. It's ok that you don't know where to start - there are plenty of resources on Business.gov and in the Community to help you along. Here are some that I think might be helpful to you: Resources for the Self-Employed: Includes resources for self-employed business owners, including tax information specific to self-employed individuals. Oklahoma Small Business Guide: Includes information on the legal steps you'll need to know when starting up in Oklahoma, plus information on taxes, free trainings, and more.
