At first I was considering forming an LLC company first and having two
seperate DBAs for each site, but after reviewing several posts of small
business owners with the same decision to make, I am now considering doing a
Trademark for each website that I create. the only thing with this is that it
is very expensive to do a search for each trademark and filing fee.
Will I put my brand(s) at risk by exposing my domain names before registering
them as a Trademark?
You must be currently using a name in business before you can trademark it.
You should be able to trademark the name at your state level fairly
inexpensively. In my state the fee is only $30. If you want to trademark the
name nationally, that costs more, but it isn't prohibitive.
