I have ZERO idea what I'm doing. I have no idea where to go. Have researched tons online, asked lots of questions and still have no idea what I should do. All I do is make some crafts out of my home to sell to friends and family. Right now it's all done in person, but soon I may put some up for sale online. Do I need a small business license? Do I have to pay taxes on what i earn? What is the monetary cut off for paying taxes on it? This is my first month and I'll have made about $150. I'll take some breaks so maybe earn a grand in a years time. I'm in IL. Please does anyone have straight forward answers. A yes or no you need a license. Yes or no you will pay taxes and claim it. (we never do an itemized tax return though). Who to call. Help?!
