Non-Profit Community Theatre Grant?

I am trying to start a non-profit community theatre in my town, but there are
no suitable buildings near by. I would need the funds to build a building
before getting started.
I have been involved in theatre since I was 2 years old and was a theatre
manager at a large 1500 seat theatre for 2 years in NC. I believe I have the
perfect recipe for success in this small town, but need the funds to get
started.
Are there any grants available for non-profit and/or community theatre?
Thank you for any advice.

non-profit status from the IRS, they often have grants for arts-related
programs, though most are for smaller amounts, not enough to build a
building. Have you considered starting your theater by holding performances
in the auditorium at a school or another facility in your community? Once you
build public awareness, you can begin soliciting donations to build the
theater.
