I have a 501 (c)3 and am in the process of starting a non-profit organization
and want to know if there are any grant or loan opportunities unique (for
start-up) to help with such a venture. This is a non-profit designed to help
ex-offenders transition back into the community, through housing, offering
education, spiritual development and life skills. As Prison, Outreach and
Jail Ministers, we are seeking to help, in stopping the continuing rise of
ex-offenders who re-enter prisons and jails, because of lack of support by
family members and unsupported programs. We would greatly appreciate any
information or direction regarding this matter. Thank you and God bless you.

companies whose mission is similar to yours. If you can help them meet their
mission in some form or another - then you can apply for their grants.
Also, talk to your local chamber of commerce as well as your local government
officials - they can, if they want, apply for state and federal grants on
your behalf if they think that your sertvices will benefit the communities
they are in charge of.
Best best is just a simple web search and startt turning over stones until
you find the money you need. Also, don't be afriad to get out in your
community and ask for donations - you just never know who might be willing to
give back.

petitioned Congresswoman Sheila Jackson-Lee regarding this matter and is
presently awaiting a response. We're continually praying for Gods guidance
and direction with this matter and your expert advise has been of great
assistance.
Thank you and God bless you.

You might also check with your denominational headquarters to see if they
have funds for outreach projects such as yours. Also check with your local
housing authority to find out if funds are available for the housing portion
of your plan. If you have a rescue mission or a Salvation Army in your area,
the directors may be willing to mentor you and possibly partner with you.

along on the journey. I will put together a list of organizations to began
communicating with.
I've been patient and I know I have a long journey ahead, but I'm not going
to give up.
God bless you.

with a relative today.. there are not enough programs to advocate for
ex-offenders being on or off (probation or parole). The system needs more
programs such as these to not only develop ex-offenders with the necessary
skills, but also assist them in the transition from training to employment
and becoming self sufficient in all areas of life.

your success and I wish you the best in your endeavors. Please also keep me
in prayer as well. I'm in Houston, TX, and I'm presently working with a dear
friend, who is the Chaplain at the Harris County Jail, along with several
prison ministries as well. This has become a great passion and I know that
the Lord has called me to this ministry. This is a very unique area of
ministry and it takes a very special person to get involved. Thank you for
your obedience and your dedication. May God richly bless each and every
endeavor. Brenda Johnson
