I am in the US under a J2 visa (as a dependent to my husband, who is a researcher), and got an employment authorization. I want to start a business, and would like to know if it is possible in my current 'condition'. Can anyone confirm this statement? the official Immigration services tols me NO while my attorney says YES...
Where to find the right answer??
If the answer is YES, then, are they any differences or restrictions compared to US citizens entrepreneurs?

I'm not an expert on Visas, and don't want to speculate on what is an appropriate course of action for you in this delicate situation. I would recommend that you speak with someone at the U.S. Embassy or Consulate handling
your case. Select U.S. Embassy or Consulate and you can choose the Embassy or Consulate Internet site you need to contact.
