My sister has her own manufacturing and retail unit in india and would like to open a branch in US ? would like to know if it is possible? since she cannot be physically present can she employ any one who has a legal working visa in USA to take care of it? and what are the govt agencies or is it an attorney should we approach to start this process? Can any one help me with this.
Wow thank you so much for the advice christineL. I have a uncle overseas that wanted to move his busines into the U.S and I called a few places and everybody told me he had to be a citizen!

Yes, you would be able to be the registered agent.

Non-residents can start and expand their business in the U.S. even if they are not phsyically present. However, she will need to find a registered agent who can receive legal papers on behalf of your business. Learn more about how to expand your business in the USA in our blog article.
