It all depends on what niche your business is in. There are allot of different avenues to secure funding for a startup, but what are you doing, technology? IT, Advertising? Etc? Prehapes give a little bit more details on the general plan of your business.   Also, investors will not even look at you, unless you have a GOOD business plan, profit projections (3 years) they need to know when they will see a profit or money back on their investments.  Ironing out your idea is ESSENTIAL before you start looking for funding.

Many many options depending on the amount you are seeking, the stage of your business and the purpose of the funds. I would suggest that you seek a lender or lenders depending on what you will use the funds for. If you need equipment - find and equipment lender or if you need working capital - find a working capital lender. Much easier to get funding this way then trying to get one big all inclusive loan.
