I would suggest you to spend this sum on your online promotion, not on radio advertisement. First, I would improve your sites design - right now there is very difficult to read and find information about your products. I would then work on SEO and bring these sites to better position on Google and other search engines. This way you will get MUCH MORE targeted visitors and potential customers than with several weeks radio advertisement. 

Don't waste $10,000 on a radio ad.  It usually takes people 4 or 5 interactions with your name before they remember your brand (much less your website).  Your one week run on the radio wouldn't even make a small impact on people.   You are likely going up against big cosmetic stores so you'll need to take creative approaches to reaching your customers.   One thing you might try is sponsoring a blog giveaway on some beauty blogs.  These blogs already have hundreds of followers and these readers are your ideal customers.  Usually a giveaway only needs to be $100 (or maybe $300 on the bigger blogs).  You will get links from these blogs and probably breakeven on your investment.   $10,000 worth of giveaways would go a long way (Years and years).   Don't forget to offer a discount code for the readers that don't win the giveaway. To make use of your limited funds, why not start it from your own 'backyard?' I mean, start within your town, from good word of mouth, or print your own advertisement flyers and request your friendly newspaper boy to attach your flyers inside the newspaper he is selling/distributing. It's one way of advertising at a least cost.

PPC can actually generate a lot of sales, in some cases more sales than you can imagine, if done right. Just starting a PPC campaign will not give you enough leads.   There are lots of PPC programs you can use. For example, Google Adwords, YSM (yahoo Small Marketing), MSN AdCenter, etc and many more. When running a campaign on Google Adwords for example, you will get lot of useless clicks my visitors that dont convert if you advertise on entire Google network including on its search partners. Try running a campaign only on Google.com taking the search partner option out. You will get some better conversion for your specific niche.   You will need to do a proper keyword research to know which keywords have what kind of search volume and over time, you will have an idea of which ones are converting. Its just a matter of getting used to.   If you did all that and it still doesn't work for you, no worries. Not everything is for everyone. Another method you can try which will be SEO. If you take the time to learn it, it doesn;t cost you anything but your time. Or even if you outsource your SEO campaign, it will cost you a little initially but offer long term benefit of organic search engine traffic that would would otherwise pay for it per click.   Good Luck

Hi, I agree with much of what has been said, but I think you need to look at things a little differently.  What you need to do is link with venues that will give you some exposure by selling/giving away your products.  What you might try doing is to use eBay, Amazon,etc to sell something as a loss leader, but direct visitors to your online store.  Your website should be designed for two different buyer personas, the visitor buying your product and the visitor looking for information about your products.  Don't assume that a new website does both automatically      Jim Stephens

I have developed a blog and started connecting to other blogs that related with my niche, Keywords within your content is the key to getting targeted traffic. Find forums associated to your website products and leave comments about others topics and you can pick up a few backlinks. The search engines love backlinks from others sites. this will give you more natural traffic and it's free!!!! build your back links, and good luck!!   We hope this has been some help to you. Like others have said, PPC can work you just have to target the right keywords that are 'buying' traffic and not just people searching for information online.   Also, SEO would be a good option too but again, you have to do good keyword research in order to know what keywords to target and if you could even get on the 1st page of Google.   Another option might be to sell your products on ebay. Ebay is a very good way to not only sell products but build up a customer base that will regularly buy products from you. Plus, since there is already alot of traffic on ebay, you can direct that traffic from ebay to your website.   But if you want to get organic search engine traffic you really need to spend time doing keyword research. In my opinion, the best way to advertise your online beauty supply store is using Search Engine Optimization (SEO) to bring the website high in Google results.
