Trying to find out information on getting a grant for my business as Home
repair/cleaning. I am a Veteran and I am trying to see what would be
available to me to help to start the business. Any information would be
welcome.
Grants are not generally available to start for-profit businesses. You may
want to contact your local office of veterans affairs for assistance. Some
states also have a veterans division within their state department of
employment where you can also obtain information and assistance. They may
have access to special loan programs for veterans.

Federal grants are typically aimed at specific industries and targeted causes identified by the government, such as scientific and medical research, conservation efforts, and so on.
