Paying sales tax

I recently started my own photography business and I've charged my clients sales tax when I've given them their invoices. Now, I dont know what to do with that sales tax? How do I pay that?

Yanez - Visit the California Tax Service Center to read their Guide to the California's Seller Permit. It explains how to obtain a permit, how to apply tax to your sales purchases, report your sales tax, etc. I would also recommend that you take a look at Business.gov's 10 Steps to Starting a Business, to ensure that you have satisfied all the other practical legal requirements for starting your business, such as registering your business name. You can also use the California Small Business Guide as resource to help you start/manage your business.

In most states, business owners are required to register their business with a state tax agency and apply for certain tax permits. For example, in order to collect sales tax from customers, many states require businesses to apply for a state sales tax, sellers permit, or sales and use permit. My first question is - have you applied for a tax permit from your state? Secondly, where is your business located?

In most states, business owners are required to register their business with a state tax agency and apply for certain tax permits. For example, in order to collect sales tax from customers, many states require businesses to apply for a state sales tax, sellers permit, or sales and use permit. My first question is - have you applied for a tax permit from your state? Secondly, where is your business located?
If sales tax is too complicated for you, you could hire a firm to do sales tax filing for you while you focus on your main business.

I did not apply for a permit. All I did was get my business license and TIN. I am in Oakland, California
