Nice idea - but you are wasting your time with grants. They don't work that
way.
Couple of ideas:
1) If people are willing to purchase it - ask the for money to produce it.
2) Lince out your idea to a company that can manufacture it and ask for a
royalty on each unit sold.
3) Get out in your community and seek local investment. There are doctors and
other business professionals that are always looking for new investment ideas
and could possibly open many doors for you.

Hi Gerald, Federal grants are typically aimed at specific industries and targeted causes identified by the government, such as scientific and medical research, conservation efforts, and so on. You may want to visit with a counselor at a small business development center
or a SCORE office in your area. their services are free. They can evaluate
your product and recommend how to proceed. Unless there is something truly
unique about your pill dispenser, you may not qualify for a patent, which is
expensive and time-consuming to obtain. There are other ways to bring your
product to market, such as licensing your idea to a large manufacturer. A
counselor can help you explore those ideas.
