I am currently in the research phase of starting up a new Environmental Education Non-Profit Organization. I am doing my research now but this summer I hope to be securing funding. However, the question I have is should I be securing funding first before filing as a 501(c). I am looking at The Green Foundation for grants. I would need some start up funding is it best to get a small business loan at first and then try to secure grants after incorporation or are there grants you know of to help with start up of a new non-profit.
