Questions about MBA for small business owner

I am a small business owner looking to further my education and am considering an MBA. It seems that all the attention when choosing a school/program is focusing on an AACSB accreditation. While I can certainly understand this for those pursuing a career in academia or even with a medium to large corporation, is it really necessary for the small entrepreneur who's just looking to run their business more efficiently and possibly develop a better portfolio for potential lenders? I'm not too worried about the cost of tuition since I'll be using the Post 9/11 GI Bill (and the Yellow Ribbon Program if needed), but don't want to waste it on a degree that will do me little good beyond the added knowledge it imparts.Thanks,

The OEE develops and promotes innovative resources for small business owners that are designed to assist in the management and growth of small businesses. You can check out specialized training sessions, distance learning, written materials, websites, other means of providing business development, business management, and business growth information.
