I am an american business owner. I have had my company for 27 years we are a small 13 employee residential custom concrete contractor we have been forced out of business due to the lack of funding to our clients. Most of my freinds that own small businesses have been forced into bancrupcy loosing all of their assetts our credit has failed most of our suppiers won't continue to offer credit to us. The whole nations housing industry is failing with no way to recover. We have offered fair sevice to our customers for years and have no way to recover or survive this economy I had so many clients over the years I never had to solicet work I only did referal work from my client base. Housing is the main employment engine for jobs in the blue colar work force in america. We suffered the same failer in the late 70's the whole housing industry went bankrurupt we had no credit and all of our assetts were siesed by the banks, the gov lowered the intrest rate to save the economy but no one with a bankrupcy could borrow money we all started from the bottom and rebuilt our assetts with hard work. after 27 years we are finally recovered from that failer only to face the same thing all over again. There is money to borrow at a low intrest but we can't access the funds to save our assetts because of our credit. We can only watch whatever equity we have be consumed by the high intrest and lack of income. My license was suspended and i don't have the funds to reinstate my license. I still have calls for work but I have to let the work go to a licensed contractor and hope that in turn will let me and my sons do the labor for wages. We need help from someone that is willing to invest in our past history. We will somhow survive this economy I am not sure how most of the blue collar jobs have been taken by our forien neighbors that live in this country illegaly and send their money to their families in mexico russia china ect. We need a new plan of survival in this country if we are going to save our american workers homes and jobs we need to support our fellow american business owners that have carried this country on their backs from generation to generation. My Granfather was a cowboy he would heard cattle from texas to montana and was tusted with the herd durring the cattle drive. I have a picture over my desk of a cowboy on the plains with his head hung low on a cloudy day it reminds me of his service to to owner of the cattle. Somthing i always try to offer the same amount of trust to care for the homes i work on in the rain and the snow whenever I have been offer the chance to service one of my customers. I feel like someone has taken my horse and is expecting me to survive in the plains. Chuck King Bellevue, wa
