I was asked to give an entrepreneurship lecture at Syr. this fall. I have an hour to give the students what I know about business.

I figure to cover the following topics:

Sales, Management, Marketing (Online), and I am thinking of others. Any suggestions that you think that they should know (and hopefully I know) would be much appreciated as I am not a good teacher and will probably be nervous.

I think research is a very important step for entrepreneurs. If any business can deliver product or service that understand the real market needs, they will become a successful business. I agree with Orawan. You would be surprised at the number of university students who have no idea how to do market research to determine whether an idea is viable. Surely they must do research for some of their other classes, but when it comes to collecting data for a business or marketing plan, they have no clue. You wouldn't need to tell them how to do research, but rather stress the necessity for knowing how to do it.

I think the highlighted subjects are very important and if you can add on them the important tips they should care in business as: 1- Communication 2- Cash flow 3- Leglity 4- Syatems

Thanks, Alisaad. What exactly is 4 - Syatems? I do think cash flow is quite important as well. Well, not I think, I know.
