We have all seen those commercials where we are promised the government will give us a grant to do just about anything. Well, anything that sounds to good to be true probably isn't right? Right. Most grants are not given to individual, rather to nonprofit charitable organizations that are officially recognized by the government with 501c3 status. Most businesses will only qualify for small business loans in most cases.
Just a tip to keep you from wasting valuable time.

seems to be a lot of misunderstanding and confusion on the topic of small
business getting grants. The long and short of it is that the vast majority
of small business will not qualify for any type of grants and would make
better use of their time and energy pursuing other means for funding their
business venture. Grants are mostly received by nonprofit-charitable,
research or educational types of agencies. This does not mean you should
strive to become a nonprofit...But, it does mean you should not waste your
time pursuing this type of funding if you are not a good fit.
