I incorporated an LLC in 2009 got a ubi in WA state, but other than that- I did not fulfill the other things I am supposed to do for the business. its listed as 'non-revenue' on the state Dept of revenue. I setup a website to sell but have not sold anything -so essentially I have had some expenses - a couple of hundered dollars which I dont want to claim. do I need to do anything different in my 2009 and 2010 tax returns ?
I have not turned in my 2009 returns mainly due to this dilema and other family concerns . I was going to get back money from irs anyway so it was not the most pressing thing- (family isues) to sum it up -can I just ignore the businesses' existence and not claim anything and submit 2009/10 return as usual ? I intend to pursue the business angle this year- have some money for that purpose...
