I'm thinking about using my home address for my business license. Is there any consequences that I could face, like liens, claims against, etc. that would effect my home (or me) if my business (sharing its address) goes south?
Double check with your state's laws and even a lawyer if you need the peace of mind, but I don't think any of that should be a concern.
What you do need to be aware of is that if you plan on having a website or your business address listed anywhere online, that people will look up your address using Google maps and street view. Not everyone will, but if you don't want people knowing you are running your business from home or where your home is, you should plan differently.

Each state has different laws, but your business profitability (whether good or bad) shouldn't have any bearing on your home. Your home address is just the physical location for your business for registration and tax purposes. Just to be sure, consult with an attorney, your local SCORE office or SBDC in your state.
